"Just finished a Super Saturday "Hot Apps 4 HOTS" workshop. Wish I had come across Brad Wilson's "App Learning Tasks" sooner. What a fantastic resource! Have included his site with seven others I thought might be useful for promoting higher order thinking skills when utilizing an iDevice."

"Well, here's something you dont see everyday, a multi player gameshow for the iPad, think Jeopardy, without the need to phrase the answers in the form of a question. Each player gets their own "Popper" in order to buzz in with an answer. The apps are available on iTunes and with several titles to choose from, family game night can be a blast!"

Seek 'n Spell is a, "a real-time GPS-based word building competition." The object of the game is to create words by collecting letters. The catch is the letters are located outdoors. You collect letters by finding the letters based on GPS location. Your iPhone's screen displays where each letter is located and then you must run (or walk) to that location in order to obtain the letter. You want to collect letters that will create the longest word…think real life Scrabble. To get a true feel of the application you will want to check out the demo video below.
